The belt grinder utilized for every Bar None Original product features a robust two-horsepower AC motor with a variable frequency drive, enabling accurate speed control and high torque for massive material removal. Specifically engineered for crafting kitchen knives, this grinder can be positioned horizontally for large stock grinding. With a tilting work surface that adjusts from perpendicular to 10 degrees, precise tracking wheel adjustment, and fully adjustable grinding platen and work surface arms. With a budget of $1000, the objective was to design and construct a powerful belt grinder that surpasses the performance of any grinder 4 times the budget. Material being ground in video is a 316 stainless, 3/32" thick web, angle.
