Behind
The Head Bepis

Reason for being

Bar None Bepis is how I am making the work I've been doing unofficially, official. Custom knives, Bepis Originals, and the Knife Marketplace now have a home where the process of buying is streamlined instead of going through social media. The projects page is the way to bring the less knife oriented projects to light. Works that I wouldn't normally talk about now have a place to be seen. Engineering lies at the heart of all knife work and projects, working with individuals or groups is always a treat. Please feel free to reach out with any opportunities to collaborate or work with any project you need any mechanical, manufacturing or electro-mechanical engineering work done.

How and why?

DIY has always been my passion. Becoming a mechanical engineer was a way to push it to the next level. Working as an R&D Engineer for a majority of my career allowed me to be learning constantly while also making a living. Who knew you could DIY as a career. I am now the Technical Lead for R&D Engineering at Ormond LLC. A role that is highly technical and deeply engaging. Bar None Bepis is a little bit of all of this but is where my creative side can take the lead. The creative brain is driving but the engineer still has it's hands on the wheel. Creating in a way that is beautiful but functional. Thought out yet fluid.

The Bepis behind the knives

Happily married to the knife wife who truly sharpens my edge. Born in Indiana and raised in Washington from the age of 5. Growing up in Shoreline just to attend Seattle University. Graduating with a mechanical engineering degree in 2016. Working in the area for various companies before landing at Ormond LLC working in R&D. Through all of that I've learned that the pacific northwest grey doesn't effect you if you don't look up. Plus you can't see the sky if you retreat to the garage. Smart enough to know when I'm in deep but too stubborn to turn back. A trait that's helped me forge new paths and gain new knowledge. Living in Seattle and running Bar None from the garage. There isn't a lot to say outside of I am excited to keeping everyone updated on how all future projects go.
